In 1999 we decided to sell the dairy farm and have a life style change.
As fly fishing was Ian's passion from a very young age, we shifted to Turangi. Ian (as well as our son Andrew) set up a trout fishing guide business and Frances worked in 2 different restaurants which she thoroughly enjoyed. In mid 2004 our Tui Lodge was purpose built to a high standard as a B&B, designed by Ian himself. We moved into our lodge in January 2005, with a major ahead of us with gardens to be established and lawns to be sown. Having had many people from all parts of the world, life has been interesting. The lodge is designed where you can enjoy your privacy if you wish or be part of our family which everyone seems to enjoy. Our guests have enjoyed learning about our country and things to do as we have enjoyed learning of their country as well. We welcome you to Tui Lodge and Turangi where we think it is the adventure centre of the North Island.
